This is possibly the best poke bowl I've had... It's called the O.G. from Fishbowl and I got this from their new Melbourne store in Melbourne Quarter, Collins Street.
The ingredients in the O.G are kale, beets, red onions, seaweed, tobiko, crispy shallots, endamame, salmon sashimi with roasted sesame dressing. Those are the set ingredients in the bowl but you can choose a base to go with it which is included in the price. I chose rice vermicelli with my bowl. A regular bowl (pictured) is $12.90 while a large costs $16.90.
At $13, this is slightly more expensive than the normal lunchtime fare but the portions are generous, they did not skimp on the salmon sashimi that's for sure! I was very satisfied and really enjoyed the variety of texture, freshness of each ingredient and the flavour packed bowl. I was very happy that I was eating so much vegies too, it is probably the whole of my daily quota!
Each Fishbowl outlet (with a few exceptions in NSW) accepts only card payments so be sure to have your debit or credit card ready when ordering. It makes things so much faster and streamlined.
Besides offering salmon or tuna sashimi bowls, they also have vegetarian options and free range chicken bowls. If you have not tried a poke bowl before, this is a good one to get started on.
