Rat-a-Train

It was quite a quite a cute mouse, by all accounts. It was small, gray, long whiskers. Except it shouldn't have been scampering around a restaurant floor.

Perhaps if it could talk, and cook while hiding inside a chef's hat it would fit in better with the surroundings?

Or if it was dragging a slice of pizza towards home, it might be a YouTube sensation like it's cousin in the US?

We were having lunch at a pizza and pasta restaurant at Southgate when we noticed the mouse about 3 feet from our table. I immediately wondered if the little mouse's parents and 50 other siblings are back in the kitchen where our food had just came from.

Other questions circled in my head... Had they been using the parsley in my pasta as their toilet paper? Or taste tested the pizza sauce before it was sent out from the kitchen? How did they like the views from the second level where the restaurant is located? Did they find my pasta overcooked as I'd found it to be?

My questions went unanswered, because the mouse was never caught while we were there. And mice cannot talk.
