I didn't feel the first one, but I certainly did the second one. Residents in Victoria experienced tremors from an earthquake registering 4.6 on the Richter scale on Mar 6. I was just back from work that time, and busy cooking and unwinding. The second one happened last Wednesday, while I was at work at around 4:30pm. It felt like my whole desk was shaking slightly and I thought the guys around me was rattling the desks as a joke. Only after people started talking about the quake that I checked out the news online and found that we'd experienced another 4.6.
Well, it seems that the tectonic plate on which the Australian continent lies, is moving places which has triggered these quakes. The plate is moving at around 7 centimetres per year towards the north east direction, away from the M'sian peninsula. 2 years after moving to Aust, this gives a whole new meaning to moving away from home!
