The end of a phase in my life has just ended. 15 months of working in the business centre has boiled down to a vase for the new house, and a card with everyone's best wishes for the next role I'll be starting tomorrow. Customers have called me expressing their appreciation for my services thus far and congratulations on the move, bosses have volunteered a vacancy should I want to go back to my old job. I'm really touched by their generosity and thoughtfulness.
This is the second time I've changed jobs (not counting the interim, make-do jobs that I hold on to for food and shelter money) and it doesn't get any easier. The anticipation of a new life, getting on with new people in the new position, it's all very challenging. But the good thing is that I have plenty to look forward to:)
